Park friends seek Haunted Tram Ride sponsors for annual event
The Friends of Homosexual Springs Wildlife State Park are seeking area businesses and organizations to participate in their annual Haunted Tram Rides community event at Homosexual Springs Wildlife State Park, scheduled on Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Pepper Creek Trail will be transformed during these evenings into a trail of haunting scenarios that will delight families.
Participating businesses will be given a location on the Pepper Creek Trail to decorate with their own spooky setup. Guidelines and applications are available at the park office. There is no charge to sponsor a location. Locations will be judged for a variety of awards.
This is a great community relations project and all participating sponsors will be recognized. Guidelines and applications for a Spooky Scenario location are available Monday through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the park office or call (352) 628-5343, Ext. 1002 to request an application by mail or stop in and see Art Yerian, Park Manager.
This is the sixth year the park has held this event, which draws thousands of visitors each night.
